Dr. P. S. Nayyer is a distinguished physician and academician with over 38 years of experience in Internal Medicine. He obtained his MBBS degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi (1982), and completed his MD (Medicine) from the renowned Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh (1987).
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Nayyer has combined clinical excellence with a deep commitment to medical education. As a Professor of Medicine, he has been a teaching consultant for postgraduate students for more than 25 years and has served as an examiner for postgraduate examinations across several Institutes.
His professional interests encompass Diabetes Mellitus, Infectious Diseases, HIV/AIDS, and Nephrology. Dr. Nayyer has authored and co-authored numerous national and international research publications, contributing significantly to medical literature and clinical practice.
He has held key administrative and public health roles, including serving as the In-charge of the Delhi State AIDS Control Programme, where he played a vital role in HIV prevention and care initiatives. His leadership and service were recognized with the State Health Award by the Government of Delhi in 2017.
In addition to his academic and clinical pursuits, Dr. Nayyer has rich administrative experience, having served as the Medical Superintendent of a 300-bed Delhi Government Hospital for over four and a half years, where he oversaw hospital operations, policy implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Dr. Nayyer is widely respected for his clinical acumen, academic mentorship, and commitment to advancing patient care and medical education.
